Political parties, commission, campaigne, media

Classes held  on 01/26/2015 were divided into two parts. Throughout the first portion of the class, the entire group worked together with Barbara Moś - Ambassador of the  Program  for Structured Dialogue in Malopolska region and activist for Europe4Youth Association.
The program included theoretical considerations such as: the dimensions and levels of participation, its forms and types (with emphasis on the role of the third sector), as well as practical issues related to public participation opportunities of young people at local, national and European level. Throughout the  entire class, a public consultation on the Structured Dialogue Programme (coordinated by the European Commission) were carried out, addressing the ways to increase the participation of young people in political life.
In the second portion of the class, the students were divided into groups representing political parties, the media and the electoral commission.
 
Workshop - Electoral Commission
Moderator: Lidia Sokołowska

The aim of the workshop was to familiarize the students with the specifics of the work and the role of electoral commissions during different types of elections. Particular emphasis is placed on the voting procedure and alternative voting, including e-voting. After the presentation of the course through the use of multimedia, the workshop participants - within the framework of a case study - portrayed themselves as fictional citizens of a democratic state called "Far away after seven-mountains", creating rules of the electoral committee which would meets the expectations of modern society. Furthermore they prepared a draft outlining the rules of debate and the subsequent election, which would take place in the framework of the project.
 
Workshop - Media
Moderator: Dr. Kinga Anna Gajda
The aim of the workshop was to familiarize the students with the media and the many types of media, their functions, and the mediatization of politics. Students have split up into teams  representing: newspapers, television, radio and social media; they discussed the differences and similarities between the media and prepared a plan of action.
 
Workshop - Political Parties
Moderator: Aneta Pazik

The workshop consisted of two parts. In the first part, participants worked on strategic documents of political parties discussing the factors that determined the structure of their agenda. In addition, special attention was paid to the recipient groups to whom the documents were addressed. In the following part of the workshop, participants were divided into groups according to the profiles of political parties. Their task was to come up with the name of the party, as well as the prepare the most important points, taking under consideration the array of problems existing in their school, on which their party program would be based.
